An encouraging performance by Hawks who dominated both halves. With a host of near misses they perhaps should have been out of sight by half time, yet had to come from behind twice to end 2:2 at the break. Further Hawks pressure told with 2 unanswered goals in an entertaining second half.
Dads notes. Benson scored 1. Good goal should have scored more. Had a few good shots. Well done son!

As noted above, Hawks had to play a 2nd successive match against a team with a 100% record, this time St Albans City, and unfortunately the result went with the form book.
DAD: Moving in with Debs – didn’t see it,

Following an impeccably observed minute’s silence at the beginning of the game [I think this was replicated elsewhere – Ed] the opposition dominated the first half. As in recent games, Hawks struggled to come to terms with the man marking required to close down attacks & the need to allow the opposition less time on the ball unchallenged. 3-0 at half time with the slope against in the second half it could have been a very one sided affair, but the boys started to compete and were able to get two goals back – both excellent first time long range shots. At 3-2 down Hawks were dominating possession and the final last minute goal was decidedly against the run of play as Hawks chased the elusive equaliser. DADS NOTES: Benson played well – was unlucky with a lob on the very tall keeper
