There are some matches where the final score doesn’t tell the story of the game and this morning was one of those. The Jaguars performance though was one of the best of the season. The first half saw Jaguars start on the front foot and really take the game to Everett who were kept well away from the Jaguars penalty area by a highly effective midfield. With 10 mins to go to the break Everett took the lead but within a couple of minutes Jags were level with a superb free kick. Everett took the lead again with the last kick of the half. Jaguars pushed for a second equaliser but were caught on the break 5 mins into the 2nd half but at 3-1 down kept pushing forward and driving from midfield forcing some good saves from the keeper and winning several corners. However, in the final 5 minutes Everett broke twice on the counter attack to score two more giving a final scoreline that didn’t justify the fine performance against a very strong opposition.
