Unfortunately Jaguars suffered a defeat at Park Street this morning. After starting well Jags conceded a number of corners as they continually had problems with the pace down the Park Street right hand side and whilst most were defended well some led to goals being conceded. In the second half Jags pushed forward trying to get back in the game but were caught out committing too many forward. Eventually Jags got the goal they deserved though and the game ended with the boys more upbeat.
Football Result. 11-0
Character building is probably the best way to describe this morning’s game away at Berkhamstead Yellows for Jaguars. After conceding an early goal Jags played well looking for balls over the defence to run onto and came close to equalising but, right on half time, Berkhamstead netted twice. Jags responded and had a shot cleared off the line but the half time whistle went before the resulting corner could be taken. In the second half Jags were playing into the weather and, as conditions worsened, heads dropped and more goals were conceded. So after the highs in the sunshine at Tring last week it was the lows in the rain at Berkhamstead this morning. But then that’s football. Well done to the boys and parents for persevering through to the end.

A good win for Jaguars this morning giving then their first league points of the season. After a really close first 20 mins Jags scored twice before half time. In the second half Tring pressed to reduce the arrears but mid-way through the period a free kick was curled in to make it 3-0. Tring got one back with 5 mins to go but, right on time, Jaguars had another free kick on the edge of the area but this one hit the bar. A great performance!
