Harpenden Colts Summary
Today the boys collectively displayed that wonderful attribute of perseverance and endeavour. At 3-0 down midway through the 2nd half there was indeed a high probability of them being overrun and the score ending up way beyond what it should have been. However recent results have got the boys out of the mindset that they always suffer heavy defeats and they grit and determination produced a comeback that was well and truly deserved and nearly gained us a point. One of my managerial duties is to fill in the results card and post it to the league and I keep copies of each card. The progress across the whole squad has been brilliant and they are competitive in every game they play. its now 3 months since they were completely overrun To steal a phrase from Team GB Cycling Turning narrow defeats into narrow victories can be achieved by small gains in a number of areas This is something we will be working on in training over the coming Saturdays.
